Why Start a Value Initiative?
Although sport greatly enhances and enriches our lives, we also see that the world of sports is currently experiencing a crisis of confidence. Corruption, doping, manipulation and monetization can overshadow the beauty of sports. Every aspect of sport can be used by officials, athletes, and media in a destructive way.
What does our response to this value crisis look like? How do we act when our fair play is needed, when it comes to victory and defeat, or when we are favored or disadvantaged by referees' decisions? In these moments, our true hearts are revealed.
We are convinced that sport serves people for the better. That's the reason why we have a long term campaign- so that we can prove our values as we compete.
Without heart sport is only movement.
Our
goal
is that athletes reassess the importance of values in sports. With the value initiative, we want to initiate a strong movement for more values lived in sports and society.
